About this deal

The recipe is a combination of flavours of orange and currants with the warming spices of cinnamon, ginger, allspice, rosemary, coriander, and angelica. The resulting juniper-led gin is said to have a fruity and robust finish. The Royal Pie comprises roasted wild mushroom, spinach and butternut squash with wild mushroom sauce, and features a special hand crafted royal crest on its puff pastry lid. But if mixology isn’t your thing, then please don’t worry, the flavours of our gins speak for themselves. Perfect to pair with premium Classic mixers and a fruit garnish, from Indian Tonic, lemonade or just a light and refreshing soda water, our gins are expertly crafted to bring out the best flavours from around the world. No coronation parties will be complete without it. Why would you toast the new King’s health with French Champagne when you can raise a glass of 100% British cider?” Sandford Orchards chief cider-maker Barny Butterfield said: “Most of us are too young to remember the last coronation so we are eagerly anticipating some fantastic celebrations across the country.

As well as marking this historic day in history, the coronation of King Charles III also marks a new era for this Scotch whisky brand, as it was first created as a gift for Queen Elizabeth II for her coronation in 1953. But this is not that time – this is a weekend for street parties, big celebrations, family half-term get-togethers. This is the moment to splash the gin around (adults only and within reason, of course) and for that purpose many of us want to find the best value. The beer is said to have light caramel notes and a deep golden hue with east Kent Goldings hops adding a spiciness to the citrus and fruit aromas, rounded out with subtle bitterness from a generous hopping of Kentish Challenger. To make it that extra bit special, the producer has also steeped some butterfly pea flowers into the gin to give it a blue hue, resulting in a ‘delicate and well-balanced’ gin. Shakespeare Distillery suggests serving the gin with either Fever-tree Elderflower Tonic or Fever-tree Light Indian tonic water and a slice of lemon. Shepherd Neame chief executive Jonathan Neame said: “We are delighted to mark this historic occasion, the Coronation of King Charles III, with a special beer. We hope that our customers will enjoy raising a glass to toast such a special occasion.”

We wanted to mark the occasion with the launch of Devon Red Cider, which is created from British apples grown and pressed in Devon, using traditional methods, at the oldest working cider mill in the UK. It doesn’t get much more British than a Bank Holiday weekend enjoying a classic British dessert, unless, of course, that dessert comes in the form of a gin liqueur. Shakespeare Distillery has launched Coronation Gin to coincide with the crowning of King Charles III. With fresh citrus notes of grapefruit, crushed juniper and pink pepper on the nose, and a hit of jammy raspberry and fresh strawberry with a hint of vanilla on the palate, it’s easy to tell that the limited edition Platinum Jubilee gin by the Cotswold Distillery was inspired by classic British summer desserts. The wine is claimed to be a classic blend of the finest parcels of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier from Kent. This complex sparkling wine has been aged on lees for five and a half years before its release now. Described by head winemaker Josh Donaghay-Spire as displaying “complex aromas of ripe apple, fresh red berries and toasted brioche”, this wine is “perfect for grand celebrations”. Salford’s Four Sis4ers Distillery has launched a limited edition fruit-waste strawberry gin to celebrate the coronation of King Charles III, called Wonky Windsor. This pink gin is made with the fruits of ‘wonky’ British strawberries. It has been distilled in the distillery’s Arnold Holstein copper still, and inspired by King Charles’ love of the environment and passion for sustainability. English wine producer Chapel Down has announced the release of a limited-edition English sparkling wine to commemorate the coronation with all profits being donated to the Royal British Legion. The team at the Shakespeare Distillery in Stratford-upon-Avon has crafted a dry gin that takes inspiration from the late Queen and Queen Mother’s love for a gin and Dubonnet. Four Sis4ers Distillery in Salford has launched a limited-edition fruit-waste strawberry gin to celebrate the coronation of King Charles III.

The whisky is housed in a Dartington Crystal decanter, tinted in a deep sapphire blue hue, reminiscent of the precious stones set within the Imperial State Crown. In keeping with Royal Salute’s signature style, the decanter is presented in a wooden box inspired by the iconic Westminster Abbey, with details intricately chiselled into the wood, paying tribute to the historic setting of British Coronation ceremonies since 1066. To complement the ale, project executive chef Sang Nguyen has created three new limited-edition food dishes with a royal twist that will be available at selected Shepherd Neame pubs across the Coronation weekend. Raising a glass to the highly anticipated coronation of King Charles III is Silent Pool, a brand that is no stranger to commemorative royal bottlings. Releasing an exclusive Coronation Gin ‘fit for a royal’, the limited edition blue and purple bottle is said to be the perfect tipple for enjoying at a street party. This English whisky was created using Plumage Archer barley grown on the Highgrove Estate in Gloucestershire, England, and was distilled, matured, and bottled exclusively by the Cotswolds Distillery.
